I am an incoming CNRS chargé de recherche (permanent researcher, equivalent to an Associate Professor position, without compulsory teaching duties) in the QAT team at the Department of Computer Science of the École normale supérieure (ENS–PSL), Paris. I am currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at QMATH, University of Copenhagen, working on the PROQSY project.
My research asks when quantum systems can be simulated or learned efficiently, and what determines the boundary between classical and quantum computation. I am particularly interested in how noise and physical constraints can make complex quantum systems admit compact descriptions, and how these descriptions can be turned into efficient algorithms for classical simulation and quantum learning.
